Our wines accompanied by an enthralling live performance, the first ‘musical tasting’ of the year will be with Girafolk.
The line-up offers a setlist that embraces folk music (in its countless facets) and the auteurs of Italian music. Ranging from the most important songs of Fabrizio De Andrè, the new stornelli of Alessandro Mannarino, the romanticism of Capossela, and the solemnity of Guccini, the band will also present some of the warhorses of the groups that have made the sounds from across the Channel and overseas their own in Italy. From the Modena City Ramblers to the Bandabardò, pages of ‘heated’ and at times irreverent music are dusted off. The show is rounded off with reels, jigs and themes embracing traditional music from various countries around the world. It is the rhythms and colours of Ireland that prevail, but small forays into other musical territories are not excluded.
The band consists of Vincenzo Maggiore (vocals and guitar), Isabella Benone (violin and vocals), Giancarlo Pagliara (accordion) and Alessandro Muscillo (double bass).
